Ribbet Coating & Fab, Inc. was “Born” in October, 2011. We are located just off of Highway 67 N Across from Acme Brick in Perla. We also have a facebook page at Ribbet Coating & Fab, Inc.
The “Ribbet” name was derived from the aluminum “boat ribs” that we coin and swedge and form for a boat company located in Arkansas. Aluminum extrusions are brought in and formed to the specifications of the customer enabling a strong, uniform and more efficient boat building ability.
Ribbet Coating & Fab, Inc. is owned by Shelia Gregory. Shelia has been “working” with aluminum and aluminum products since 1977. First with aluminum storm doors and windows in a captive facility (meaning that we extruded our own aluminum extrusions) and later in a total aluminum extrusion facility shipping across the U.S. and Canada. Along with the aluminum extrusion, fabrication was a natural added ability.
In addition to forming boat ribs, we cut, drill, radius and bend additional small parts for different customers.
We also offer a variety of “Metal Art”. We have our own CNC Plasma cutter, and can design and cut to your specifications. We offer personalized metal signs and powder coat them for lasting durability. These are affordable and make superior gifts for that hard to buy for person.
We coat some small parts in a fluidized bed with a thermoplastic polyethylene powder coating for a company in central Arkansas.
There was a need in this area for quality, affordable powder coating. So in October 2012, we began our powder coating venture.
We have powder coated a variety of different items. Many of our projects involve restoring old items to their original beauty. We have coated a number of old antique iron beds, old school lockers, oil cans, vintage gliders and settees, chairs, 4-wheeler racks and the list is endless. We coat rims and car parts as well. Our limit currently is our oven which is 10 ft. x 8 ft. x 20 ft.
The benefits of powder coating is that it contains no VOC’s (volatile organic compounds) and does not contain carcinogens like spray paint. Powder Coating is virtually pollution-free! Powder coated objects don’t easily scratch, fade or rust. It is tough, durable, attractive, colorful and non-toxic.
There are specialty powders used for high temperature applications such as exhausts and headers, smokers and grills.
Powders come in hundreds of colors and can be color matched. There are “chromes” and “candies” and “flip-flop” colors in addition to the standard colors. Powders come in virtually all of the RAL colors. Powder coating can also be clear coated for added durability.
We have Dustless blasting to remove any old paint or rust prior to powder coating. Blasting , water and rust inhibitor prevents heat and warping that traditional sandblasting creates. The rust inhibitor enables the customer time up to 96 hours to prime or paint their project before it will begin to rust.
